Mariam Yaed Al Qubaisi has over a decade of experience in media and crisis and emergency management. She currently holds the position of Director of the Media and Communication Department at the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and she is the spokesperson and Chair of the Organizing Committee for the Global Emergency and Crisis Management Summit in Abu Dhabi 2025.
Al Qubaisi began her professional career in 2003 at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited (GASCO) before joining the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in 2008. She has held several key leadership positions within the authority, and in her current role, she is responsible for developing and overseeing communication and media strategies to ensure effective responses during crises and emergencies at the national level.
Academically, Al Qubaisi holds a Master’s degree in Culture and Creative Industries from the Higher Colleges of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She has obtained certifications as an Expert in Government Communication and an Expert in Emergency and Crisis Management, in addition to several specialized certificates in strategic media planning, crisis and emergency risk management and evaluation, and public warning and communication. This has enhanced her expertise and contributed to the development of the media system in emergencies. 
With her deep expertise and strategic vision, Al Qubaisi continues to lead the media landscape in the emergency and crisis sector, establishing herself as one of the influential female leaders in this field.
