Prince Zolile Burns-Ncamashe is the Deputy Minister of Traditional Affairs, a position he has held since March 7, 2023. He previously joined the National Assembly on February 19, 2021, serving on the Portfolio Committee of Trade and Industry and representing the Mnquma Constituency Office.
He briefly served as an advisor on traditional affairs in the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) under Minister Zweli Mkhize. He was subsequently appointed as the Chairperson of the National Rapid Response Task Team for the Department of Water and Sanitation by the then Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation.
Zolile has been actively involved in the traditional sector since 1995, participating in the Constitutional Assembly and becoming the first Deputy Chairperson of the Eastern Cape House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders. He served in the House of Traditional Leaders in the Eastern Cape from 1996 to 2017, including a term as Deputy Chairperson from 2002 to 2017. He was closely associated with the late Ngangomhlaba Matanzima and served as an advisor and spokesperson for Queen Noloyiso Sandile of the AmaRharhabe.
